What’s
new in version 2.5 ?
|
Developments in version 2.5 are principly centred around resolving
minor issues in Version 2.0, implementing aspects of client feedback and
improving functionality in relation to Visual Concept's growing use as a
knowledge capture and presentation tool.
The most significant changes that existing users need to be aware of
are:
-
The
presence of a link is no longer indicated by the object having a
dotted border. See 'Links' below.
-
There are two new tools. One for scaling and one for zooming. See 'Model Size'
and 'Zooming' below.
-
A new 'Relative
Paths' option for links will make it far easier for
presentations and front-end interfaces to be transferred to and work
from removable media or laptops. See ‘Links’ below
-
Menu’s and basic tools can now be made accessible in
Presentation Mode. See ‘Presentation Mode’ below.
The following provides an itemised list of all the
changes in version 2.5
- When
opening a model, VC no longer displays the ‘read-only’ message if
the media is read-only itself (CD-ROM).
- When
closing a read-only model, saving will default to Save as…
- When
opening a locked model no message is displayed. No saving is possible (not even Save as…).

the same directory as the model. This now applies for “Save as…” as well.
